Once upon a time, there lived a generous and kind-hearted king. But, the people were not happy with their king. It was because the king was too lazy and would not do anything other than eating and sleeping.
     He spent days and weeks and months in his bed either eating something or sleeping. The king became a potato couch and the people started to worry about the king.
     One day he realized that he could not move his body, unable to move his foot. He became very fat and his enemies made fun of him ‘fatty king’. He called various doctor from all over the kingdom, but no one can help him.
Read the text then finish the sentences below.

When the minister met him, he informed the minister that he could easily cure the king. Hearing these promising words, the minister became very happy. He requested the king to meet the holy man to get rid of the ill health.
     The old wise man resided at a distant place. Because the king could not move his body, the fatty king asked the minister to bring the holy man to the palace, but the old wise man refused and ordered to come to meet him.
     After strenuous efforts, the king met the old wise man. The old wise man asked the king to come for treatment every day from the next day. The old wise man also told the king that he would treat the king only if he came on foot to his place.

     Very soon, the king regained his health, and the people were very happy in his kingdom.

Contoh text presentasi tentang "everybody is clever"


Everybody is Clever
I strongly believe that everybody is clever even we are different. As we know no body are same because we have different background, parents, and environment. That makes us becoming a unique individual.  In fact, even many person believe it, Indonesian students still need to wear the same uniform when entering the gate of school. Why we need to wear the same uniform? The clothes that we wear is our identity. If we wear short skirt, people will think that we are an open person, and we like to show off our body. If we like to wear dress, means we are a girly girl, and so on. So with various and unique characteristics why should we wear the same uniform? White and red for the elementary student, white and blue for the junior high school, white and grey for the senior high school. Why don’t we just wear what suit us and comfortable for us? We need to be comfortable in order to learn everything faster.

Everyone is unique, but why we need to have a high score for our examination? People will say that someone is clever when their rapport is full of high scores. Some people may be people smart, very smart in making good relation with others or managing people. Some other may be nature smart and those kinds of intelligences can’t be scored by number. Then, here I would like to say, if you got low score don’t be sad. If your teacher said that you are stupid that mean your teacher need to read lots of books again because he still don’t understand that no one is stupid and not all intelligences can be described  just a number of score
The common things that also happen in education field is the word “polite”. Everyone should be polite by greeting older people and so on. While politeness is not only about the ability to greet the older people but also the ability to act good to others. Some people may bot good to their older, but they can be a very friendly friend.

I am wondering for many times why when someone got 30 or even 50 in their rapport, they called stupid? That was cruel. (video 00:37)

Many people measure the ability of students just from one side, from the score of their rapport. It is like we are measuring the ability of fish to climb a tree, it will not climb a tree forever. We cannot compare the ability of students who were smart in music with those who smart in number. They are different and we cannot compare them. The differences in intelligence is called “multiple intelligence”.

It is believed people are having differences in intelligence. There are students with number smart, picture smart, music smart, body smart, people-smart, self-smart, nature smart, and word smart. Everyone have their own intelligence and passion but it does not mean impossible to find a person who really smart in everything.

Based on what I said before, we can conclude that studying at school does not only mean to push your self for getting a high score, but to improve your ability and add your knowledge. Here are some prove that you can be anyone you want to without a high score but a hard work. Those people are success because they know their intelligence, work hard for their dream and pray even harder.
So, please remember that everyone is clever even not in the same say.
